After the 2023 eSports Awards, even more history was achieved when eSports players Alex “Golden Boy” Mendez and Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, along with WWE Superstars Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch, played a 10-minute game of Pac-Man on the 100K square-foot video screen located on the Resorts World tower. This display broke the Guinness World Record for “Largest Digital Video Game Display,” which stood at 25K square feet, according to Casino.org. Bianca Belair even made light of the fact that, with the size of the display, she didn’t need to wear her glasses to play before the game.
Pac-Man is a beloved arcade game from the 1980s that has been converted to a variety of strange platforms over the years, including a TI graphing calculator, so this is hardly the first time someone has discovered a novel way to play it. More contemporary games like Minecraft and Ark Survival have also re-created the traditional Pac-Man level’s maze layout.
