Wyndham Clark, the winner of the US Open, surged ahead in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am with a course-record 60.

The 30-year-old American shot an incredible 12-under-par round in California to take the lead going into the third round at 17 under.
Including two eagles and four birdies, Clark’s front nine score of 28 was achieved.
On the par-five 18th hole, he missed a 26-foot putt for an eagle that would have tied him for the lead with 59 after four birdies and a bogey on the back nine.
“Even if I had shot 59 somewhere, I don’t think it would compare to shooting a score like this at one of the most historic golf courses in the world,” Clark stated.
“The most impressive thing, in my opinion, was being able to maintain mental aggression and keep the pedal down.
Making every single putt was extraordinary. It was just fantastic.”
Ludvig Aberg of Sweden is one stroke behind Clark in second place after shooting 67, while Matthieu Pavon of France is one stroke behind with a 66.
After sharing the lead with Aberg overnight, Belgian Thomas Detry and American world number one Scottie Scheffler are three and four strokes behind Clark, respectively.
After rounding a 69, world No. 2 Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland is two under, while England’s Justin Rose is on 11 under after round 66.
The previous course record of sixty-two was set in 1983 by Tom Kite and was subsequently matched in 1997 by fellow Americans David Duval, in 2021 by Patrick Cantlay, and in 2022 by Matthias Schwab of Austria.
