Wu Geng, a former slave, leads a rebellion against the oppression of the gods in the “Burning Flames” climax. The story builds to this point from the beginning, when Jeremy Tsui’s fearsome adversary Hei Long is faced by Allen Ren Jialun’s Wu Geng, who represents the human tribe. In the heat of combat, people make sacrifices.
The Last Conflict with Hei Long
It started prior to Wu Geng’s army and the Shen Tribe fighting. In a one-sided love with Wu Geng, Bei’er (Liu Xiening) gave her life to keep everyone safe. After being tricked into killing Hei Long, A Lan (Bambi Zhu) unintentionally hurt Bai Long (Joe Chen), which ultimately resulted in her own death at the hands of Hei Long. More people have passed away, including Chen Jing (Han Dong), Fu Xi (Liu Xiang Jing), and General An (Wang Hai Xiang). Obsessed with Hei Long, Xin Yue Kui (Jiang Xin) came to understand his true goals of bringing Bai Long back to life and ultimately perished at his hands due to her own foolish deeds. The initial encounter is fierce when the good guys eventually take on Hei Long. Fighting to the death, Ni Tian Er Xing (Zhu Zhengting) turns petrified into stone. As the character of Ming Dao—a fallen ancient god—manages Shen Yan (Zhang Lei) to plan the war, the dark plot becomes clear. Wu Geng was to be the one to weaken Hei Long to the point that he could take the initiative himself. It fails because Fair Xing’s character, Bai Cai, gives her life to foil their schemes, but it also means Hei Long survives.
Hei Long engaged Wu Geng in a decisive battle, driven by fury for Bai Long’s demise. Even though Wu Geng was initially outmatched, he eventually defeated Hei Long and brought harmony back to the three realms by returning with newfound strength from Ni Tian Er Xing’s spirit and weapon in addition to the immortal phoenix.
The Conclusion Everyone Has Seen Before
On the day of Wu Geng and Bai Cai’s wedding, an unfortunate event occurred. Before Wu Geng’s eyes, Bai Cai stated she was nearing the end of her life. He bids farewell to friends like Zi Yu (Yan Yikuan) and Shi Xing (Merxat), believing that she must be somewhere out there, and embarks on a protracted quest to locate her. When he notices a snowman in front of their former home, the series comes to a moving conclusion. We’re held in anticipation when the door opens and we can’t see who is standing in front of him. Wu Geng smiles, full of hope, even as tears well up in his eyes. Is Bai Cai still living?
Drawing inspiration from the well-known Manhua/Donghua serial “Wu Geng Ji,” “Burning Flames” is bound to elicit comparisons from its devoted readership. It’s obvious that the adaption is arbitrary. Characters like A Lan and Xin Yue Kui have various fates in the original plot. Similar to Ni Tian Er Xing’s character, it seems that the key characters were likewise “weakened” and did not realize their full potential. Hei Long, who is portrayed as an all-powerful being, also shouldn’t be taken lightly. He is shown in the original as devoting a small portion of his energy to the fight. After Bai Long passes away, he withdraws into solitude.
