Why a certain Chainsaw Man character continues breaking their weapon rather than preserving it for later is a mystery to fans.
The second installment of Chainsaw Man is just as amazing and unapologetic as the first. Asa Mitaka, the protagonist of Part 2, is among its best features. Like Denji, Asa is a depressed and lonely kid, but fans are rooting for her since she is the underdog. But there is one aspect of Asa that the fanbase finds quite puzzling.
As the War Devil Yoru’s host, Asa has the ability to instantly turn anything that is hers into a weapon. This capability applies to both live things and inanimate items. She creates a variety of weapons in different situations throughout the narrative as she battles numerous foes.
One thing that readers observed about Asa is that, following a battle, she never stores her weapons. It appears that she made a mistake by not carrying a firearm, as it might come in very handy in the future.
Her fans are perplexed about the entire situation and are questioning her decision. Many readers believe that Asa’s weapons, which were produced by Yoru’s powers, could only be used once before dissipating.
It’s a beautiful sword design, and I wish she had kept it in stock for longer. It was awesome! A Reddit user wrote.
Another reader put it like way: “Pretty sure they just disappear.”
“I believed that the weapons were temporary, or did their strength and durability depend on who owned them or their worth?” A different user voiced their confusion.
But the true reason Asa throws away her weapons after using them is that Yoru makes incredibly flimsy weaponry. As Yoru demonstrates in the manga, a weapon’s constitution becomes more brittle the stronger it is. This implies that Asa will eventually destroy every powerful weapon she utilizes.
The narrative has provided multiple instances of that. Both Asa’s Aquarium Spear and her Super-Strong Uniform Sword are destroyed in a matter of days. All of them imply that, even if she manages to hold onto her weapons, she will be limited to carrying just flimsy weaponry, which is useless.
She also doesn’t hold onto her weapons because Yoru’s skill allows her to generate new ones quickly. Therefore, carrying extra with her would merely be a hassle because there are always nearby alternatives.
