A new teaser video for KBS2’s forthcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Dare to Love Me” has been released in advance of its broadcast!
“Dare to Love Me” is a romantic comedy based on the webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of the love between Shin Yoon Bok, a 21st-century scholar from Seongsan village who firmly believes in Confucian virtues, and Kim Hong Do, his art teacher, who is honest and reckless.
As Shin Yoon Bok, Kim Myung Soo will embody the Confucian values of benevolence, righteousness, civility, and intelligence. Shin Yoon Bok is nice to others yet stern with himself. In the competitive world of design, Kim Hong Do, played by Lee Yoo Young, is despised and lacks authority, but she never gives up on her ambition to become a designer.
The recently unveiled trailer depicts Kim Hong Do’s difficult life, in which people consistently treat her disrespectfully. In one scenario, Kim Hong Do drinks a beer, smiles bitterly, and walks into a convenience shop with lipstick and mascara all over her face. On the other hand, Shin Yoon Bok is shown acting with grace and acuity as he attempts to impart some manners to others who lack them.
Despite having quite different lifestyles, they happen to meet by coincidence and spark a passionate affair in their previous teacher-student relationship. Shin Yoon Bok gently asks, “How have you been?” as he holds Kim Hong Do’s waist and she almost trips over.
The preview then shows Kim Hong Do getting anxious because of Shin Yoon Bok’s persistent but reserved demeanor, who keeps his distance from Hong Do because he believes it would be disrespectful to act otherwise.
Kim Hong Do says, “I like getting rained on,” as she emerges from behind the umbrella as they take a stroll in the rain. Hong Do’s heart palpates even more when Shin Yoon Bok responds, “I like more,” omitting to mention the purpose of the remark.
