Black Ops 6 will introduce “Omnimovement,” the largest alteration to Call of Duty’s movement since Advanced Warfare in 2014. This feature will allow players to dive in any direction and remove limitations from being prone.
Additionally, while slide canceling and a few other minor mobility enhancements were added to MW 2019 with its new engine upgrade, none of it compares to what Call of Duty will offer in 2024.
Over time, Call of Duty’s mobility system has been refined, and new additions have added interesting nuances to give the game a distinctive feel. The experience in Black Ops 6 will continue to be enhanced, and many new features are planned, according to the announcement.
Black Ops 6 aims to bring a “genre-defining movement” mechanism that will allow players to experience the ultimate Black Ops dream. Everything that happens will have an effect on the players’ surroundings, and actions will flow naturally.
Weapons will “corner slice” as you approach and exit a location, selling that elite operative fantasy. Characters will go through doors shoulder first.
The application of the Supine Prone is the most radical introduction. Supine Prone allows players to lie on their backs while in the prone position, much as Rainbow Six Siege. Players can flip around and complete a 360-degree rotation while in the Supine Prone position.
But players can also sprint and slide in any direction, so Supine Prone isn’t the only new feature. Additionally, diving is back, but now characters can dive in any direction, just as in Max Payne’s film, complete with the delayed animation. You can choose to dive backward or face forward.
Control schemes have also been modified to fit the updated movement. With the help of new features, you can vault over obstacles or advance into an automatic sprint without pressing a button.
