One of the most eagerly awaited anime releases of the year is Tower of God Season 2, which returns us to the Twenty-Fifth Bam and the tower of the same name that he was attempting to scale.
Tower of God swiftly rose to prominence in 2020 as one of the best anime films of the year thanks to Bam and Rachel’s exploration of the enigmatic tower in which he has been imprisoned. We have been eagerly anticipating more of Telecom’s rendition of SIU’s classic manhwa ever since the season ended.
We are finally approaching the finish line. Tower of God Season 2 looks to be on the horizon, joining Dandadan and Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest for a massive 2024 release. Fortunately, throughout the past few years, a trickle of hints has revealed how this project was coming together. All we have to do now is wait for the tower to reopen and, maybe, some answers along the way.
When does Tower of God Season 2 come out?
On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Tower of God Season 2 Episode 1 will be available. The November 2023 announcement of the July 2024 release window was made, and happily, there were no delays.
The first two episodes will be shown on Saturday, July 6 at Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, if you’re fortunate enough to be attending. We’re not sure if there will be a single or double episode premiere on Crunchyroll, so you may be ahead of the game with that screening!
Tower of God Trailer: Season Two
Back in August of 2022, the first trailer for Season 2 of Tower of God was released. This approximately two-minute clip sets up the next adventure that Twenty-Fifth Bam will have with Rachel.
We received another teaser in February 2024 at IGN Fan Fest, which was unveiled by Bam’s voice actor Taichi Ichikawa. While there are just 15 seconds of footage in this, Taichi confirms some plot points—like a time jump—and that the Return of the Prince arc is being adapted.
In June 2024, we received another 30-second trailer. There are several brief clips presented, but nothing new beyond what has already been made public.
Plot of Tower of God Season Two
The manga’s Return of the Prince story arc will be covered in Tower of God Season 2. Six years after the first season’s finale, this one follows Ja Wangnan, a new protagonist who is also a young man who wants to take control of the tower.
Though they are not as well-known, Bam and Rachel are still present. There’s also Jyu Viole Grace, another enigmatic hero; no spoilers here, but everyone’s fates are more connected than they may realize.
Will Crunchyroll carry Tower of God Season 2?
Indeed, Crunchyroll will have Tower of God Season 2 available when it releases. Being the largest devoted anime fan base, this service is identical to the first season and is always a safe choice.
