“The Tyrant” has released a new trailer, giving fans a taste of what to expect from its gripping story as its debut approaches!
A delivery error causes the final sample from a project known as the “Tyrant Program” to vanish, setting up the chase action thriller “The Tyrant.” This starts a series of actions by which people with various goals compete to obtain the sample.
Kim Kang Woo plays Paul, an American intelligence agency covert operative, and Kim Seon Ho plays Director Choi, the program’s unofficial mastermind.
The recently unveiled teaser features Paul and Director Choi having a conversation. After more than ten years, the two characters appear to be getting back together as they sit on a bench. Paul speaks casually with Director Choi while sporting dark glasses and a mysterious atmosphere. He then gets right to the point, asking, “You know why I came this time, right?” Playing the innocent part, Director Choi answers, “Well, do I have to know?” Then Paul is adamant, saying, “Just give me what you took and stop pretending.” That’s not even something you can use in Korea.
Director Choi doesn’t give in easy, even in the face of Paul’s persistent attempts to get the sample. Paul then makes a joke about the circumstance, saying, “I would be fired if this doesn’t work out. You are aware of the difficulty in finding employment in this field. “I can only help you if I know what you’re talking about,” Director Choi responds.
Sensing that talking won’t be enough, Paul proposes that they go out to eat. Director Choi then suggests having kimchi stew, or kimchijjigae, which brings back memories of the food they used to love as students.
