The release window for Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 has been revealed, meaning that the Belmonts will finally be making a comeback to our screens.
Richter Belmonte, a French Revolutionary vampire hunter who is attempting to stop a particularly evil force, first appeared in 2023. Richter and his companions, descended from Trevor, face off against the vampiric messiah Erzebet, who possesses amazing strength.
The anime series’ second season will premiere on Netflix in January 2025, the company has stated. Not too soon, considering how little information has been released since the renewal was announced.
In Castlevania: Nocturne, Trevor Belmont is followed by a member of his family who likewise fights bloodsuckers, continuing the game’s ancestral heritage. Richter’s scenario is very different because it occurred in France in 1792 as opposed to Romania.
But in the end, the battle rages on, and Richter is forced to work toward preventing a fresh super-vampire from rising to the position of absolute dominance. A more direct link between the two TV series is made when Trevor’s ally Alucard ultimately decides to assist him in this cause.
Castlevania, which lasted for four seasons, ended in 2021, making space for Nocturne to take over and follow the game’s framework of having different heroes for different eras, etc. All of the first season’s episodes were directed by Sam and Adam Deats, with Clive Bradley serving as both writer and showrunner.
Although the entire creative staff for the upcoming second season is yet unknown, it’s probably reasonable to presume Bradley and the others are back. Since there are a ton of incoming anime around the end of this year, January 2025 is an ideal time to release these episodes.
