A car mishap recently put Chinese actor Leo Luo Yunxi, who has been preparing for the upcoming drama “Follow Your Heart,” in an embarrassing predicament. It’s not unheard of for celebrity airport arrivals to be hectic; misbehaved celebrities have been hauled up by workers on occasion. Staff escorted Luo Yunxi to the incorrect automobile this time.
Yesterday, June 18, the 35-year-old actor touched down at Beijing Airport. Staff members in black uniforms are seen escorting Leo Luo Yunxi to a car that is parked by the side of the road; however, they mistook the automobile for someone else’s. Because the incident was captured on camera, it rapidly became viral online. “Heavens, my car!” exclaimed a displeased female driver. Luo Yunxi may be heard commenting, “How smug,” in the same video. This comment provoked conversation.
With remarks like “No manners” and “Clearly going through menopause,” some people berated the female car owner, while others chastised the actor. Luo Yunxi wrote late that evening, saying, “I tried to ease the awkward situation but failed.” I beg you all to not take after me. I truly regret the trouble I’ve caused the owner of the vehicle. His studio also released a statement apologizing to the public and clarifying that a staff member’s error caused the confusion at the airport.
However, a few of Luo Yunxi’s supporters have asserted that the widely shared video was purposefully altered to malign him. They claimed that once the female driver left, Luo Yunxi was first left in disbelief before attempting to lighten the situation with his remark. However, it appears that this is another instance when a cringeworthy incident could have been dismissed but was instead the subject of close examination.
