YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group, BABYMONSTER, has stirred up the music scene with the announcement of their first mini-album, “BABYMONS7ER”. The album is set to release on April 1 at midnight KST.
The group dropped a teaser for “BABYMONS7ER” on their YouTube channel, featuring a 20-second clip with an official logo backed by strong hip-hop instrumentation. This teaser has left fans eagerly anticipating the album’s release.
The title “BABYMONS7ER” cleverly incorporates the number 7, symbolizing the return of pre-debut member Ahyeon, who had to delay her debut due to health reasons. Her return marks the group’s transition back to a septet, adding to the excitement surrounding the album.
This album follows the standalone single ‘Stuck In The Middle’, which was released earlier this year. Notably, ‘Stuck In The Middle’ and their debut ‘Batter Up’ will be re-recorded as a seven-member group to include Ahyeon.
The album’s tracklist, lead single, and other details are yet to be unveiled. However, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk confirmed that BABYMONSTER will be releasing a full-length album around autumn.
Since its debut in November 2023, BABYMONSTER has made significant strides in the K-pop industry. Their music video for ‘Batter Up’ became the most-viewed debut K-pop music video in 24 hours.
With “BABYMONS7ER”, BABYMONSTER is set to continue its impressive journey in the music world. Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the album’s release and the group’s continued success.
