BTS’s Jungkook is making history on the Billboard charts even though he is in the military!
“GOLDEN,” Jungkook’s solo debut album, ranked No. 44 and spent its 11th straight week in the top 50 of the Billboard 200 for the week ending on January 27.
In addition to becoming the first K-pop soloist to spend 23 weeks on Billboard’s Artist 100, where he debuted at No. 28, Jungkook is now the first Korean solo artist to chart an album for 11 weeks on the Billboard 200.
In addition, “Standing Next to You,” the hit song by Jungkook, managed to hold its position at No. 87 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for 11 weeks running.
Additionally, Jungkook had two hits on Billboard’s Pop Airplay list, which tracks weekly plays on mainstream Top 40 radio stations nationwide. His collaboration with Central Cee and The Kid LAROI, “Too Much,” held steady at No. 28, while “Standing Next to You” reached a new high of No. 29.
On Billboard’s Digital Song Sales list, “Standing Next to You” returned to its peak at No. 4 in its 11th week, making it the fourth best-selling song of the week in the US.
“GOLDEN” debuted this week at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Current Album Sales chart and No. 12 on the Top Album Sales chart, both of which are independent of the Billboard 200.
Ultimately, this week has seen Jungkook continue to place numerous songs on both of Billboard’s global charts. “Seven” with Latto peaked at No. 11 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, trailed by “Standing Next to You” at No. 14 and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow at No. 43. “Standing Next to You” ranked No. 23, “Seven” ranked No. 25, and “3D” ranked No. 68 on the Global 200.
