This week, BTS’s “Love Yourself: Tear” topped many Billboard charts, nearly six years after its original release!
BTS’s 2018 studio album “Love Yourself: Tear,” which was just released on vinyl, made a comeback to the Billboard 200 album list, ranking No. 92 among the most popular albums in the US, marking the record’s first appearance on the chart in more than five years.
This week, “Love Yourself: Tear” also made its debut at the top of Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart, making BTS the first Asian artist to ever hold the top spot on the chart with several albums. (The first vinyl release by BTS, “Love Yourself: Her,” also debuted at the top of the chart the previous year.)
Meanwhile, “Fake Love,” the album’s lead single by BTS, returned to the top of Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, where it spent 71 weeks altogether.
“Love Yourself: Tear” created history when it was initially published in 2018—it was the first K-pop album to ever reach the top of the Billboard 200.
