It appears like Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will be available on Xbox Game Pass, as Microsoft made a huge mistake and alerted fans to the impending release.
The yearly hype train for the next Call of Duty game is well underway as summer draws near. It has officially been revealed that the sixth episode of the Black Ops series will take set during the Gulf War, following months of speculation and leaks.
Although there have been some clues on social media and in Warzone, Microsoft has now provided fans with the most information to date by ostensibly confirming that the upcoming Black Ops game would be available on Game Pass on launch day.
On May 28, the Xbox mobile app received a push notice that said, “Just Announced.” Later this year, on day one of Game Pass, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch!
The alert points to an Xbox website page that appears to be preparing for a major announcement but instead delivers an error message.
According to several rumors, the announcement is expected to occur soon, either on May 28 or before the month ends.
After the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct event on Sunday, June 9, which takes place immediately after the main Xbox Games Showcase 2024, we will know for sure. It is anticipated that this will be the first significant gameplay revelation, along with information regarding the single-player mode’s plot and maybe some Zombies insight.
The fact that Xbox is using its Activision ownership to put Call of Duty on Game Pass shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, especially because it will increase interest in the service.
Despite being under the Xbox banner, Black Ops 6 will still launch on PlayStation and Nintendo platforms. It appears that it will be accessible on both the PS4 and Xbox One.
