Chasing Dreams (梦花廷), which stars Chen Zheyuan and Zhang Jingyi, is one of the several dramas that have just been announced. Filming for Tencent’s upcoming historical romance series began this week, but the first posters featuring the cast dressed in costume have already been released. The plot is once again set in the magical region of Jiuzhou and is based on the novel Xie Luo (缬罗) by Xiao Ruse, the author of Novoland: Pearl Eclipse. As they negotiate love and fate in a turbulent world, it chronicles the heartwarming romance between a young commander named Tang Qianzhi and a blind princess named Ti Lan.
Tang Qianzhi is played by Chen Zheyuan. The 28-year-old actor isn’t the first person that comes to mind when I think of a general, but he has the range to portray a seemingly carefree young man who is determined to defy fate. Zhang Jingyi plays Princess Ti Lan, who is blind but shrewd, opposite him. The 25-year-old actress looks stunning in her princess attire. She recently made a successful step into the historical genre with The Story of Hua Zhi. According to the show, the two performers are not billed in any certain order other than by utilizing their last names.
Liang Yongqi, who starred in this year’s smash hit series The Double, is undoubtedly one of the primary cast members you wouldn’t miss. He is the second male lead this time. Lu Qi, Chen Cheng, and He Qiu are also joining the cast.
