The Miami Dolphins locker room and the internet are chatting about Braxton Berrios and Alix Earle.
The 28-year-old Berrios disclosed that his 22-year-old “incredible” girlfriend is a frequent topic of conversation between his coaches and teammates. During a recent episode of FanDuel TV’s Up & Adams Show With Kay Adams, wide receiver Berrios mentioned that his coach, Mike McDaniel, “loves to chirp” about the couple.
“He has some space, at least mentally, to scatter around [whatever] he desires with that. Indeed, said Berrios, adding that Earle has not yet been included in a play called by the coach.
Berrios remarked that his coach’s advice on dating the TikTok singer is “more satire than actual advice” in reference to what McDaniel, 40, had told him. “Supposedly, [Mike] is highly at ease and confident about his game of getting his wife,” he went on. I have definitely been told that, but there isn’t much guidance. (McDaniel wed Katie Hemstalk in 2014; the two brought Alya June into the world in 2020.)
Berrios claims that McDaniel recently pushed him and Earle to move their relationship forward. “He told me to get married today. I suppose that is a little piece of wisdom, given at random and without any context, that everything gets better,” the athlete said.
Upon being questioned by host Kay Adams if Berrios and Earle intended to tie the knot soon, Berrios promptly put an end to the rumors. He joked, “You asked if he gives advice.”
Since the beginning of the year, Berrios and Earle have been romantically associated. In February, a month after Berrios terminated his two-year romance with Sophia Culpo, the two met at a Gatsby-themed party in Miami. In the interim, 27-year-old Culpo has hinted that their breakup was caused by Berrios’ infidelity to Earle.
Since then, Berrios and Earle have become closer. In May, Berrios attended Earle’s University of Miami graduation, and the following month, they partied together at a Hamptons music festival.
Using his Instagram Story, Berrios refuted Culpo’s allegations of adultery in June. “I spent two years in a good relationship. We had discussions along the lines of “we weren’t working out” toward the conclusion of the relationship, which was positive and healthy, he added. “So that’s why we broke up back in January.”
At the 2023 ESPYs in June, Berrios and Earle made their red carpet debut; nevertheless, in a September interview with the podcast “Just Friends?”, Earle made it clear that they were still not a couple.
Earle revealed her and Berrios’ relationship status to the audience during a live recording of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in Chicago last month. This is the building where we need to ask the question and have the tea tonight. “Alix, are you in a relationship?” inquired host Alex Cooper. Earle answered, “Yeah, I mean.”
