The upcoming PS Plus Essential Tier titles are anticipated to be announced by Sony on Wednesday, November 29, and added on Tuesday, December 5. Subscriptions can still grab the November 2023 PS Plus free games up until that point. These consist of Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, and Aliens: Fireteam Elite.

But many are undoubtedly anticipating the December 2023 PS Plus free games, along with the Extra and Premium games that come after, given the announcement’s proximity and the month’s end. With so many excellent alternatives, it’s hard to predict what Sony will unveil, but these would all be fantastic on the service.

The Last of Us: Part One is a December 2023 PS Plus free game.

The Last of Us Part 1 700x394 1

January 2024 is when The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be released, according to a recent announcement from Sony and Naughty Dog. It has a new roguelike mode and several playable “Lost Levels” of the game in addition to a few general improvements. It would make sense to encourage more people to play the first game if they haven’t already or haven’t played the most recent version in order to pique their interest in that release even more. Note that The Last of Us Part 1 is already available as a limited-time trial on PS Plus Premium, and that 2014’s The Last of Us Remastered is accessible on one of PS Plus’s levels. It would not be the first trial game to transition to a full-featured game, though, and in this case, it would be beneficial.

December 2023 PS Plus Free Game: Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle

Mega Man 1

Occasionally, a single PS Plus free game will be a collection or bundle rather than a single game. This implies that PS Plus releases one large game that includes multiple titles, therefore providing gamers with access to multiple games in “one” release. The holidays are probably the best time to pull off such a maneuver, and fans of older video games would love the Mega Man 30th Anniversary Bundle. As the 30th Anniversary Bundle includes Mega Man 11 along with a few older collection games, it would be one of the most content-rich single releases on PS Plus ever. Players will be able to enjoy a total of 19 games, consisting of 8 Mega Man X games and 11 mainline games. Notably, this Bundle would still make a fantastic PS Plus title even if Sony and Capcom collaborated to select only one Legacy Collection.

December 2023 PS Plus Free Game: El Paso, Elsewhere

El Paso Elsewhere

Officially launching in September 2023, El Paso, Elsewhere is worth noting for the number of high-profile releases that September saw, even if most titles do not arrive on services like PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass in the short months following debut (if at all). It makes sense to give El, Paso Elsewhere more stage time in December’s PS Plus lineup. In addition to much, much more, players take on vampires and werewolves in this Neo-Noir third-person shooter set in a reality-shifting motel.

Wish List for PS Plus Extra and Premium Games in December 2023

one the enormous volume of every monthly giveaway, it is almost difficult to narrow down any possibilities coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium at any one time. Nevertheless, a recent PS Plus Premium leak hinted that the PS1 game Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and the PSP games Thrillville and Thrillville: Off The Rails would be included in the service. Those appear to be far more in excess. Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight are now accessible on PS Plus Extra, so adding the remaining two titles to the collection only makes sense.

  • PS5: Strive: Guilty Gear
  • Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City on the PS4
  • BioShock, BioShock 2 on the PS3
  • PSP: Off The Rails Thrillville, Thrillville:
  • PS2: Extraterrestrial Hominid
  • PS1: Star Command’s Buzz Lightyear

A few titles are sent to PS Plus subscribers each month.
