The announcement of this brand-new addition to the Princess Agents universe, which Netizens are referring to as Princess Agents 2, has undoubtedly thrilled fans of the original. After all, Zhao Liying and Lin Gengxin’s rendition was released in 2017, which was seven long years ago.
Does the Rebirth of Icy Lake Hint toward a Princess Agent Continue?
Rebirth 冰湖重生 is the title of the new series, but I venture that the Chinese translation, “icy lake rebirth,” is actually more intriguing. After all, Yuwen Yue was shown sinking to the bottom of an icy lake in Princess Agent’s conclusion. Yan Xun had set up an ambush to kill Yuwen Yue, using Chu Qiao as bait. Yuwen Yue just had time to throw Chu Qiao out of the ice lake, but not himself, so it appears that he might have been successful. Many spectators were disappointed by this tragic conclusion.
Is a Yuwen Yue reincarnation hinted at in the title? While many people undoubtedly hope that the tale will continue where the original left off, it’s also possible that the original content from Xiao Xiang Tong Er’s novel The Legend of Chu Qiao: Division 11’s Princess Agent (11处特工皇妃) will be reinterpreted.
