Observant Players of Fortnite have noticed several modifications in the latest Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass that appear to make obtaining its Bonus Rewards more difficult.
With a normal Fortnite season lasting roughly ten weeks, players have plenty of time to level up and obtain all of the exclusive goodies. However, users discovered that the level requirement to get the non-Super Style Bonus Rewards has been raised to level 150 for this Marvel-themed Season.
In order to obtain the standard and post-Battle Pass Bonus Rewards, players just needed to reach level 130 in the previous season. Many players became fearful of the additional levels and the prospect of having to put in even more effort to obtain these cosmetics as a result.
For those who are unfamiliar with Fortnite, reaching level 150 is a significant challenge for several gamers.
A Reddit post detailed the changes for Season 4, including a count of all the levels needed to obtain each Bonus Reward item. Concerns about the possibility of not reaching level 150 by the end of the season were expressed by several fans in the replies.
“It better be easier to get XP, since I barely made 130 last season,” read one comment. Although it all depends on how much time you have to play Fortnite each day, everyone can benefit from the 20-level bump.
Another response looked back down memory lane to illustrate how this change affected them. They claimed that you only needed 100 levels in the past. They said, “Normal working people could finish the list.”
However, some upbeat gamers clarified that since “they greatly buffed XP at about the midpoint last season,” reaching level 150 shouldn’t be that tough.
One user offered a succinct response when asked why Epic had altered the Battle Pass in the first place: “Corporate greed.”
