Gege Akutami disclosed Jujutsu Kaisen has a significant “minus” in comparison to One Piece during a recent Q&A session. He intends to address that in his upcoming endeavor, though.
The manga Jujutsu Kaisen is nearing its conclusion as Gege Akutami disclosed that the Shinjuku Showdown Arc is the last arc. The battle between Sukuna and the sorcerers is the focal point of the arc. Thankfully, Takaba and Yuta have already vanquished Kenjaku.
Furthermore, even though Sukuna is still upright, he has already reached his limit. In a few months, Jujutsu Kaisen will come to an end, but Gege Akutami is already working on a new manga. He wants to incorporate a scene from One Piece this time.
In a Q&A booklet, Gege comments, “I consider it a minus that there are no global goals in Jujutsu Kaisen like becoming a pirate king,” according to a JJK translator. Next time, I’ll strive to do better.
“I kind of like the idea that Yuji’s only goal was to fulfill his grandfather’s wish to help people,” a fan said of X. I think it’s a great departure from the overdone shonen cliché, but it would also be intriguing to see what Gege can accomplish with a goal structure similar to One Piece.
Another person says, “Gege make a prequel about a young Sukuna trying to become the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and my life is yours.”
Even while it’s not yet known what Gege Akutami will be drawing inspiration from One Piece for his next manga when Jujutsu Kaisen concludes, it’s certain that he will. The worldbuilding and goals of the main character in Eiichiro Oda’s manga are excellent, but Gege would have preferred to write a shorter narrative.
