The film “Hijacking” (directed by Kim Sung-han), which depicts the crisis of the hijacking of an airliner, also known as “hijacking,” has been confirmed for theatrical release in June.
Distributors Sony Pictures Entertainment Korea Co., Ltd. and Kidari Studio Co., Ltd. announced on the 28th that actors Ha Jung-woo, Yeo Jin-gu, Sung Dong-il, and Chae So-bin will play the lead roles in the film. ‘Hijacking’ depicts the story of a group of people who struggle under extreme conditions when an airliner is hijacked in the skies over South Korea in 1971.
The term “hijacking” refers to the illegal hijacking of an aircraft in flight. The film takes place in the 1970s when passenger plane hijackings were on the rise around the world.
