Completed in classic Helldivers 2 fashion, the most recent Major Order in the series destroyed the planet Meridia by drawing it into a man-made black hole.
Helldivers 2 never fails to impress gamers with its ever-expanding tale and complex lore. It features new foes, weaponry, and even the capacity to wipe out an entire planet. Players can’t stop talking about the most recent Major Order, in which Helldivers pumped a dark material into Meridia, causing the planet to fall into a black hole.
As the Meridia task was coming to a finish, many fans were unable to catch it. Fortunately, one player was able to do it, and they shared the stunning conclusion of Meridia on the Helldivers 2 Reddit page.
Before hyperjumping back to Super Earth’s orbit, the aforementioned footage warns all players of an emergency. For several players, this was their first-ever glimpse of their home planet while playing the game. The traditional triumphal cry and a graphic depiction of Meridia “going dark” came next.
The new black hole was unveiled shortly after the player sprang back to Meridia, stunning thousands of Helldivers.
“Dear Liberty…It makes a lot with not a lot of computer-generated imagery, but it’s still impressive! It was enough to break through the monotony and signal that something significant was happening only to see the timer appear while you could hear the FTL spooling up. Similar to witnessing the globe changed and then returning to that, a player remarked, demonstrating how exceptional the scenario was.
Many emphasized that “logging in to an emergency jump to Super Earth was the most excitement I’ve had since first mech drop” in addition to expressing how “cool” the scenes were.
Arrowhead’s attention to detail was immediately praised by many: “Congrats to AH, this particular payoff was done pretty well.”
Though many joked that the next Major Order would be to destroy the black hole they created, some expressed concern that the black hole might cause more problems than many had anticipated. They said, “Since there’s stuff going into the black hole still, wonder if the black hole will become an issue by getting bigger.”
