Yoshihiro Togashi, the author of Hunter x Hunter, hinted at the manga’s impending return in a recent tweet.
One of the greatest and most influential manga series ever is Hunter x Hunter. Following its 1999 release, the manga-inspired two renowned anime series. However, in the later years, the manga was frequently halted due to Togashi’s health issues.
Fans of the manga were concerned that the story might never finish when its extended break was announced in 2022. The manga may or may not be completed, but Hunter x Hunter may return in the near future. Togashi just shared a photo of the manga page he’s working on on Twitter, stating that it’s for Hunter x Hunter Chapter 405 in the description.
“We have No. 405 available. Moon healing acceleration!” appears in the caption. Interestingly, Sailor Moon has a healing ability called Moon Healing Escalation, which could indicate a certain degree of recuperation.
The fans are now more excited than ever for the next episode as a result of the post, which has caused a big wave in the fanbase. Hunter x Hunter Chapter 400 is scheduled to release in December 2022, having been out for more than a year.
There was a significant break after Chapter 400, and it looked like the manga might never come to a satisfactory conclusion. Togashi was unable to continue working on the manga due to his deteriorating health. Nothing was formally announced even at that point.
But there was also a chance that Hunter x Hunter would make a comeback, particularly in light of one of Togashi’s tweets from the previous year. Togashi teased the beginning of Chapter 401 by tweeting a photo of a blank manga page in October 2023. The picture demonstrated that the author was still working on the manga and hadn’t given up.
After then, though, there was no update. Many came to assume that Togashi’s health prevented him from finishing the chapter. The hypothesis gained further support when Togashi hinted to Hunter x Hunter’s potential conclusion, saying he might not be able to see it through to the very end.
