The gripping and tragic love story of “Moon in the Day,” which is based on a popular webtoon, spans 1,500 years. The drama, which alternates between the past and present, centers on two characters: a woman who has lost her memory of her previous life and is still “flowing like a river,” and a man for whom time has stopped after being killed by his girlfriend.
Kim Young Dae plays two distinct parts in the Silla Dynasty: Do Ha, an aristocratic noble, and Han Jun Oh, a well-known top talent in Korea. Pyo Ye Jin portrays two distinct characters: Han Ri Ta, the lone surviving member of a noble family from Daegaya (a city-state) during the Silla Dynasty, and Kang Young Hwa, a former firefighter who is now a bodyguard.
Spoilers:
Kang Young Hwa previously revealed in “Moon in the Day” that she had killed Do Ha’s father So Ri Bu (Lee Kyung Young) in a previous incarnation as Han Ri Ta to keep Do Ha safe. Not only did Kang Young Hwa learn the heartbreaking reality, but she also discovered that she was the one who killed Do Ha. When Kang Young Hwa finds out the truth, she is saddened, and Han Jun Oh, who has been observing from the sidelines, tries to protect her from the consequences of her past.
In the first still, Kang Young Hwa is almost crying, her expression expressing how painful it is for her to consider the mistakes she made in her previous life. Han Jun Oh finds her as she struggles to deal with the consequences of her discoveries. The next picture shows Kang Young Hwa and Han Jun Oh sharing a sweet moment as they look at each other with fondness.
