As suggested in Chapter 270, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga may stick to its grim themes all the way to the very conclusion.
The second-to-last chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, Chapter 270, hints at the final mission that Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara will be embarking on. The three first-year students had experienced many highs and lows since the Shibuya Incident Arc.
As Nobara’s condition remained unclear and Yuji assumed she had passed away, the King of Curses took control of Megumi’s body. It appears that the manga will have a happy ending now that the King of Curses has been vanquished and the trio is back together.
“End of a Dream,” the title of Chapter 270, alludes to the conclusion of the main trio. Nevertheless, the suggestion was lost in translation, so fans missed it.
“JJK 270 本誌 totally unrelated fun fact but ゆめの is what JP fandom calls Yuuji (yu), Megumi (me), and Nobara (no) as a trio so the 夢(ゆめ)の終わり/ “End of a Dream” title in JP also sounds like End of YuMeNo,” reveals a well-known JJK translator.
The translator continues, saying, “To be honest, I’m not really into theories—I’m just here to have fun—but my sentimentality brought to mind Gojo’s vision of resetting the jujutsu world by fostering pupils and sorcerers. It would be wonderful if this chapter showed that dream coming true.
Fans of JJK, of course, have their own interpretations of the title. Since JJK concludes next week, I saw it as the conclusion of Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara’s adventure. What specific idea do you think the last chapter supports? One admirer adds, “And as always, thank you for the translations.
“Pretty fun fact,” says another. It’s unclear if this alludes to a nightmare condition or a terrible conclusion. Probably not, as it’s just JJK fans being JJK fans, but since it ends there, I believe it’s more of the trio’s resolution in the following chapter.
“Perhaps Tengen’s dream explains why Megumi’s scar vanishes at random and why everyone is revived except for the people Yuji witnessed perish in front of his eyes,” another person muses.
