Production on Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 has been formally confirmed. A voice announcing the sequel is heard over a burning metropolis in the teaser video that goes with it. However, there has been no word on when the new episodes will air.

This implies that the Kaiju Weapon Arc will open in Season 2. If Season 2 receives 12 episodes as well, it will be able to adapt to the Kaiju No. 8 manga’s Cataclysm Arc.
All of the major characters should make a comeback accompanied by their respective voice actors. This implies that Wataru Katou, Masaya Fukunishi, Asami Seto, Ai Fairouz, and Kengo Kawanishi will all return to their respective roles as Reno, Mina, Hoshina, Kikoru, and Kafka.
