Ahead of its impending airing, KBS2 has released new stills for “Love Song for Illusion”!
“Love Song for Illusion,” a historical fantasy romance based on the popular webtoon of the same name, chronicles the passionate love story and intense obsession of Crown Prince Sajo Hyun (Park Ji Hoon), who goes by the alter ego Ak Hee, and Yeon Wol (Hong Ye Ji), a fallen royal descendant who turns into an assassin to exact revenge on her family but unintentionally ends up as the crown prince’s concubine.

In the past, Empress Geum Hwa (Ji Woo) and Sajo Hyun’s stepbrother Sajo Yung (Hwang Hee) persisted in their lies after Sajo Hyun fled the palace in an attempt to gain control.
The recently made public stills show Sajo Yung waiting for Sajo Hyun as he enters the king’s office after his return to the palace. Sajo Hyun has to remember everything in order to defeat Sajo Yung, who has already captured the attention of the public and won over half of the court officials. This will build excitement for their impending match.
Additional stills feature Chung Ta (Hwang Seok Jeong) and Ak Hee. Ak Hee is surrounded by candles, and his enigmatic countenance suggests that something out of the ordinary has happened. Chung Ta makes two appearances, one as a lady and one as a guy, which adds to the suspense for the next episode.
Yeon Wol is additionally seen crying. Though Ak Hee made an effort to court Yeon Wol, she has only shown love for Sajo Hyun. Viewers are intrigued to learn how Ak Hee’s love triangle will end because of his deranged desire to win Yeon Wol over.
“In this episode, viewers won’t be able to look away for even a second as an intense psychological battle takes place at the same time that character relationships are changing,” the production team revealed. They went on, “If there were characters in the play who made it hard to tell who was nice and who was wicked, it would be Ak Hee and Chung Ta.
