Now, “Get Up” by NewJeans has been on the Billboard 200 for six months!
The most recent mini album from NewJeans “Get Up,” made history by becoming the fastest female K-pop artist to ever debut at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart when it was initially released last year.
The EP was spending its 26th straight week on the Billboard 200, where it reached No. 197 this week, according to a report published by Billboard on January 23 local time.
After 26 weeks on the chart, “Get Up” and BLACKPINK’s 2020 album “THE ALBUM” are now tied for the longest-charting K-pop girl group album in Billboard 200 history.
Notably, after BTS and BLACKPINK, NewJeans is the third K-pop artist in history to have an album chart for 26 weeks on the Billboard 200.
Along with making a comeback to the Tastemaker Albums chart at No. 15, “Get Up” also remained largely stable this week, peaking at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, No. 18 on the Top Album Sales chart, and No. 24 on the Top Current Album Sales chart.
“Super Shy” held steady at No. 79, “OMG” at No. 93, “Ditto” at No. 94, and “ETA” at No. 154 on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. list. “Super Shy” ranked 121st on the Global 200, “OMG” ranked 179th, and “Ditto” ranked 184th.
This week, NewJeans marked their 21st non-consecutive week on the list, at No. 94 on Billboard’s Artist 100.
To NewJeans, congratulations!
