Oliver Skipp, a midfield player for Tottenham, has joined Leicester on a five-year contract worth more than £20 million.
The 23-year-old, who came through Spurs’ youth, played for the team in 77 Premier League games, including 21 in the previous campaign.
When Leicester and Tottenham play their opening Premier League match of 2024–25 on Monday at 20:00 BST, he will not be on the field.
“I am quite eager to sign. It seems like a nice bunch of individuals and players to me.” said Skipp.
We have a team that can definitely compete in every game. There are many talented players on the team who have competed in the Premier League, and I’m particularly interested to see what this group can do.”
After rejoining the Premier League, Skipp is Leicester’s fifth summer addition. He will partner with Harry Winks, a former teammate from Spurs.
When Leicester travels to Fulham on Saturday, the former England Under-21 international is expected to be available to make his debut.
