Vegapunk’s message, One Piece’s biggest narrative twist, was unintentionally revealed by Eiichiro Oda a while back. Warning: this contains spoilers!
The meaning of Vegapunk has been revealed in the One Piece manga, and it’s not what you may anticipate. Gorosei was unaware of Vegapunk’s thoughts, but given his level of knowledge, they understood it wouldn’t be in their best interests.
For years, Vegapunk has been employed by the World Government and has even conducted studies into the Void Century. He must thus be aware of the existence of the ancient monarchy, which Gorosei would stop at nothing to conceal.
But the message of Vegapunk begins with the end of the world. The largest One Piece storyline twist yet revealed was disclosed by Eiichiro Oda in the Japanese edition, which most people are unaware of.
“Did you know that Oda revealed that the world is sinking by mistake, and only Japanese people knew about it?” asks Twitter user Pewpiece. Please allow me to clarify. Lilly’s message was changed and some words were hidden in the final edition of One Piece Chapter 1085 because Oda didn’t want people to know about the spoilers.
“Raising the flag of dawn in a sinking world” was the translation of an early version of the phrase, “沈みゆく世綌に夜明けの旗を掲げ.” which, regrettably, we had no idea about back then, despite the fact that many Japanese YouTubers were already aware of and had questions about.
They continue in a remark, saying, “For instance, eight months ago, Yuderon, the well-known JP YouTuber, inquired if the planet was sinking into the sea. I would therefore really like to learn JP this year.
Indeed, the meaning of “sinking world” is rather obvious. Since Golden Week has caused a delay in the upcoming chapter, One Piece is probably going to divulge more information concerning Vegapunk’s message.
