Filming forJellyhistorical romance, which stars Jelly Lin Yun and Alen Fang Yilun, has already begun, following the drama’s ceremony last week. Official confirmation of the remaining cast members, Charles Lin Borui (Love Between Fairy and Devil), Zhao Qing (Scent of Time), Guo Jianan, and Deng Xiaoci, is also included in this.
Jelly The newest “star pupil” of Yu Zheng, Zhao Qing, is up for the role of the first female lead in the production, followed by Lin Yun. Although Lin Yun has received a lot of recognition for her outstanding portrayal of the victim accusing Liu Yijun, who plays her boss, of abusing her in the previous year’s Imperfect Victim, both women regrettably don’t have the best reputations for possessing what many would consider strong acting abilities. Still, acting is all about evolving and reinventing oneself, as Jelly has already shown in Imperfect Victim, so she might surprise everyone after all.
It’s encouraging to see Alen Fang Yilun in additional leading man parts in the meantime. While he has portrayed supporting roles in a number of high-profile dramas, such as A Journey to Love, where he essentially stole the show for his dynamic depiction of Yu Shisan, he has also played the male lead in lesser web dramas in the past. He appeared in both The Long Ballad and The Longest Promise.
