Regarding her role in the upcoming drama “No Gain No Love,” Shin Min Ah has spoken!
“No Gain No Love,” a romantic comedy-drama written by Kim Hye Young of “Her Private Life,” is about two people: Kim Ji Wook (Kim Young Dae), a man who becomes her fake husband because he doesn’t want to hurt her, and Son Hae Young (Shin Min Ah), a woman who pretends to be married because she can’t bear to lose.
Son Hae Young, who detests losing money regardless of when, where, or with whom will be portrayed by Shin Min Ah. Hae Young evaluates the gain and loss in all facets of her life, including her career, relationships, and education, thanks to her rapid math abilities. She arranges a fictitious marriage because she fears losing out on a promotion at her work.
“Hae Young is a character who doesn’t want to lose in any situation, no matter when, where, or with whom,” Shin Min Ah said of the incredibly calculating Son Hae Young. “Her fiercely calculating nature makes her somewhat pitiable, but at the same time, her straightforwardness is so refreshing that it was incredibly charming to portray,” Hae Young continued.
Regarding the aspect of her acting that she concentrated on the most, she disclosed, “I practiced a lot to make it sound natural because she sometimes uses vulgar language to express her emotions.” I also gave the fashion a lot of care because I was playing an office worker for the first time. I believe I’ll be able to demonstrate a variety of looks that correspond with Hae Young’s role in the organization.
Shin Min Ah determined that the three terms that best encapsulate her character Son Hae Young are “No Loss,” “Calculative,” and “Tsundere,” which refers to chilly exterior behavior concealed by inner warmth and compassion. She clarified, saying, “She despises accepting defeat, just like her name Son Hae Young. She may come out as cunning from the outside due to her direct and plain speech style, yet on the inside, she is incredibly sensitive.
“You will find the drama more interesting if you follow Hae Young’s emotional journey to understand why she despises taking losses and how she ends up staging a fake wedding,” she said, summarizing what viewers should be paying attention to in the drama. “It would be a loss to miss the engrossing and uncomplicated drama ‘No Gain No Love,’ so please show a lot of interest and anticipation,” she continued.
The premiere of “No Gain No Love” is scheduled for August 26 at 8:50 p.m. KST. Here’s a sneak peek!
