Together, Yoo Yeon Seok, Jang Gyuri, Heo Nam Jun, and Chae Soo Bin will be starring in a new drama!
The cast of MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “The Number You Have Dialed” was officially announced on September 24 (literal translation). Heo Nam Jun, Jang Gyuri, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Chae Soo Bin will all be featured in the next drama.
“The Number You Have Dialed,” which is based on a web novel, tells the story of a couple who married for convenience and fall in love just as they get a scary call.
Yoo Yeon Seok will play the role of Baek Sa Eon, a man with good looks, talent, and a solid family background. With a background that includes employment as a war correspondent, expert in hostage negotiations, and prominent anchor of a public program, he is the newest spokesperson for the Blue House. Despite his flawless record and unwavering self-control, Baek Sa Eon and his wife Hong Hee Joo maintain the appearance of a showy marriage, yet behind their surface, there is a coldness.
Baek Sa Eon’s wife, Hong-Hee Joo, is portrayed by Chae Soo Bin. She had a speech impairment as a child due to a traumatic event, but she went on to become an expert sign language translator. She lives as a convenient pair with Baek Sa Eon despite their arranged marriage, but when she is abducted by an enigmatic man, her life drastically changes and she decides to pursue a new path.
Ji Sang Woo, a lovable psychiatrist with attractive features and a kind disposition, is portrayed by Heo Nam Jun. In addition, he has 200,000 subscribers to his mystery-themed YouTube channel, where he explores and talks about unsolved cases. However, he gets entangled in an irrevocable occurrence because of his love of mysteries.
Jang Gyuri portrays the role of broadcast announcer Na Yu Ri. Na Yu Ri, a brilliant, likable graduate of a prominent university, exudes natural charm and beauty. She looks up to and considers former senior anchor Baek Sa Eon as a role model. She does not know, though, that Hong-Hee Joo, the sign language interpreter she collaborates with on the news, is his wife.
With a November airdate planned, “The Number You Have Dialed” is presently under production.
