The star-studded cast of director Park Chan Wook’s upcoming movie, “Can’t Help It” (literal title), has been announced!
“‘Can’t Help It’ has completed the casting of Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, Park Hee Soon, Lee Sung Min, Yeom Hye Ran, Cha Seung Won, and Yoo Yeon Seok,” CJ ENM declared on August 12.
The plot of the suspenseful thriller “Can’t Help It” centers on an office worker who gets unexpectedly fired and sets out to find a new career in order to keep his house and protect his family.
Man Soo, who has worked for the same company for 25 years, gets a notice of termination; Lee Byung Hun will play him. In his quest for work, Lee Byung Hun will play a guy driven to the brink of insanity and despair.
Son Ye Jin will portray Mi Ri, Man Soo’s wife. She is an intelligent, adaptable woman who supports her family in spite of her husband’s unemployment.
Choi Seon Chul, a foreman in the paper industry, will be portrayed by Park Hee Soon.
Yeom Hye Ran will play Koo Beom Mo’s wife, while Lee Sung Min will play the veteran of the paper sector who becomes a job seeker.
Cha Seung Won will play Go, Si Jo, Man Soo’s rival.
Finally, Oh Jin Ho, a dentist at the clinic where Mi Ri works, will be portrayed by Yoo Yeon Seok.
