Fans of “Tower of God” have great news! A teaser trailer for Tower of God Season 2 was revealed during Crunchyroll’s Industry Panel at Anime NYC 2023, and the eagerly anticipated release date has now been officially announced.
The second season of the anime was confirmed in July 2022, following its 2020 premiere. With the release scheduled for July 2024, fans may now mark their calendars, heightening the excitement that has been building for more than a year.
In its minute and fifteen-second teaser clip, new characters are introduced along with the specific Manhwa storyline that Season 2 will focus on. Remarkably, the teaser solely consists of Manhwa panels, choosing to take a novel approach without using any traditional animation.
Even if the trailer has an unusual aesthetic, fans are happy to have a release date that has been officially guaranteed. But nearly a year after the second season’s announcement, there’s still no full animated teaser, which raises questions and concerns.
Fans of Tower of God are hoping for a two-core season with at least 24 episodes, while the precise number of episodes is still unknown. Reviews of the Manhwa adaptation up to chapter 80 in the first season were divided; some expressed dissatisfaction with the hurried pacing because of the short number of episodes. Fans are excitedly awaiting further information and even a typical animated teaser to heighten the anticipation for the upcoming season of “Tower of God” as the countdown to July 2024 approaches.
