In “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” Wi Ha Joon and Jung Ryeo Won are intensifying their love!
“The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” directed by Ahn Pan Seok of the popular drama “Something in the Rain,” is a romantic drama set in Daechi, a neighborhood recognized as the center of private education in Korea because of the large number of hagwons (private educational institutions) in the area.
Spoiler:
Seo Hye Jin, played by Jung Ryeo Won, previously on “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon,” battled her developing affection for Lee Joon Ho, played by Wi Ha Joon. She privately felt the same way about him, but she was reluctant to take a romantic step toward him even though she knew he was no longer her student. Hye Jin decisively rejected him, saying that they should return to their previous state of affairs since she felt that Joon Ho would benefit more from her pushing him away.
But recently leaked stills from the upcoming drama episode show that their relationship will undergo a significant change. The normally calm and stoic Hye Jin is shown in the first pictures clearly startled as she breaks down in tears. Joon Ho races to see Hye Jin after learning that she has started crying, and he is shocked by what he finds.
Later, Hye Jin unexpectedly displays her sweet side when Joon Ho drives her home while she is intoxicated. Drinking causes Hye Jin to forget her workaholic toughness and become playful, whispering in Joon Ho’s ear.
The two then give each other a warm embrace by the front door as soon as they arrive at Hye Jin’s residence.
It’s unclear how their connection has evolved in the last picture, which shows Joon Ho giving Hye Jin a gentle kiss on the forehead the next morning.
The production crew of the drama hinted that Seo Hye Jin and Lee Joon Ho, who had been traveling at different rates, would eventually catch up with one other’s emotional velocity. I’m interested to see if they’ll go on to a new stage in their relationship.
“Please also keep a watch on what sort of incident causes Seo Hye Jin to break down in tears,” they continued.
On June 2 at 9:20 p.m. KST, “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” will premiere its upcoming episode.
