Long before Tom Brady married Gisele Bündchen and became the most decorated quarterback in NFL history, he once briefly dated an actress who achieved her own unique level of fame in the late 90s and early 2000s – Tara Reid.
Though Brady and Reid were never serious and their fling flew under the radar, it has remained an interesting footnote in Brady’s pop culture past. Back in the early 2000s when Brady was still a fresh-faced, rising football star and Reid was at the peak of her success following hits like “American Pie,” the two reportedly had a short romance.
Tabloids link the two as dating sometime around 2002-2003 when Brady was amid his early Super Bowl wins with the Patriots. It is believed they met through mutual friends – Reid even went to the 2002 Super Bowl to supposedly cheer on her rumored beau. However, it was not meant to be. The brief relationship soon fizzled out and Brady went on to meet Gisele the next year, while Reid continued some well-documented publicized ups and downs in her acting career.
Still, for a while, Tara Reid served as Tom Brady’s main Hollywood love interest, however brief it was. Their quick fling proves Brady had an interesting dating history before ultimately settling down. And who knows, maybe there’s a slight chance we could see the football legend and actress cross paths again someday on the pop culture scene that brought them together all those years ago. Though likely not as a couple again!
