Revolver an upcoming movie, has released a character teaser featuring Lim Ji Yeon!
In the recently released movie “Revolver,” Jeon Do Yeon plays Ha Soo Young, a former police officer who gets sent to prison after admitting guilt. After being released, she commits herself to achieving one life goal.
In the movie, Lim Ji Yeon plays Jung Yoon Sun, popularly known as “Madam Jung,” the only person to see Soo Young on the day of her release from jail. Jung Yoon Sun is the owner of the nightclub that is connected to Soo Young’s corruption case. When Soo Young asks Madam Jung how she knew when she would be released and who sent her, she only gives her a bottle of whiskey as a gift and leaves, refusing to respond to any of her inquiries. Later on, Madam Jung is still hanging around Soo Young, and it’s not obvious if she’s watching her every move as an ally or as a possible betrayer.
In the film, Jeon Do Yeon, who has a stern face throughout the narrative, and Lim Ji Yeon develop a fascinating relationship that makes for a powerful contrast.
Lim Ji Yeon gave this explanation for her decision to be in the movie: “Yoon Sun’s charm really struck me; she seems like a spark of energy in a quiet movie.” I wanted to attempt a lighthearted and enjoyable delivery of Yoon Sun’s phrases.
The actress went on, “Although she seems straightforward, she’s actually a complex and thoughtful individual.” “I wanted to gently depict the sense of companionship and conflicting emotions she encounters while helping Soo Young.”
Speaking about her styling strategy, Lim Ji Yeon said, “I tried to incorporate unique items like eye-catching accessories, high heels, and brightly colored knee-high socks, and I opted for vibrant colors that contrasted with Soo Young’s attire.”
“In her portrayal of Yoon Sun, Lim Ji Yeon has brought out a side of herself that I haven’t seen in other works,” director Oh Seung Wook said. Yoon Sun’s façade seems to abruptly fall as her own personality is revealed.
