You know the saying about not allowing a small setback to break you? Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat physically tripped during her performance of a Xinjiang folk dance on this year’s CCTV Spring Festival Gala, THE event that everyone watches during the New Year celebrations. You would never know, though, that she had broken her tailbone when she slipped, judging from the way she got back up fast and continued to dance with a smile on her face. I would most likely be hobbling around for the next few weeks if that were me. Being the ultimate performer, Dilraba carried on with her act as if nothing had happened.
The 31-year-old Uyghur actress received a lot of applause for her stunning dance performance last month, and since her mishap was not captured on video, TV viewers were unaware of it. The public was just recently made aware of it by gala director Qin Zheng. She said, “Dilireba truly fell during a transition and suffered a small fracture. She got up right away to get ready for the following dance. Very professional and the proper individual was chosen.”
Dilraba enthusiastically raved about how honored she was to be back in her hometown and how happy she was to share Xinjiang’s folk music and dances when the performance was shown for the Lunar New Year celebrations back in February. Her performance was wonderfully enhanced by her exquisite costume, which was colored in a highly fortunate crimson. If the director had kept quiet about her injuries, no one would have even known that she had been hurt. As a result, her viral Xinjiang dance is now trending once more.
