One of the few trailers for Ark: Survival Ascended made entirely in-game is this one. The people who created it, Player One Trailers, went all out to capture actual gameplay. This indicates that the teaser features live footage of what it’s like to nurture dinosaurs, fight beasties, and explore the untamed beauty of The Island in Unreal Engine 5, rather than pre-written scenarios.
Gage Allen, the director of Play One Trailers, clarified everything in an interview with Xbox Wire. Fred Tatasciore, a seasoned voice actor best recognized for his thunderous gravity in video games like Gears of War and Overwatch, tells the story in the first person throughout the trip. The way everything flows in the clip makes it difficult to believe that it was all done in-game.
“[It’s captured using] tools in-game, one of them being photo mode, and pushing them to their absolute extremes. There was a degree of flexibility the tools gave us in creating great cinematic moments.”

This clip serves as a technological demonstration in addition to making Ark: Survival Evolved seem fantastic. They maximize the graphical settings, allowing the lighting and weather algorithms of Unreal Engine 5 to create an incredibly detailed forest. Inside the trailer, light streams through thick undergrowth, foaming waves break, and the immensity of the Redwoods reaches its limits.
The famous Ark soundtrack was reworked to match the mood of the latest teaser, which works well with the dino roar and breaking twigs. The goal of the development team was to produce a trailer that highlights the contributions made by Studio Wildcard developers. Although the interview covers a lot of ground again, the trailer is excellent, and it is clear that the filmmaker put a lot of love into it.
