In the fantasy romantic drama “The Atypical Family,” a family that formerly possessed magical abilities eventually lost them due to dealing with everyday issues that are relatable to today’s world.
Spoiler:
Prior to her son Bok Gwi Joo (Jang Ki Yong) passing away, Bok Man Heum (Go Doo Shim) had a dream on “The Atypical Family” that revealed Bok Gwi Joo would not be able to return after saving Do Da Hae’s (Chun Woo Hee) life thirteen years prior. Do Da Hae staged her own death and fled, hoping to spare him this fate. However, Bok Gwi Joo discovered the truth and found her, resulting in a heartfelt reunion and passionate kiss.
Newly revealed stills from the drama’s next episode show Do Da Hae and the Bok family having a last-minute conference to decide what will happen to Bok Gwi Joo. As Bok Dong Hee (Claudia Kim) and Eom Soon Gu (Oh Man Seok) listen to what Do Da Hae has to say, Bok Man Heum’s reactions alternate between worry and hope.
Bok Yi Na (Park So Yi) and Bok Gwi Joo had a tragic father-daughter date in the meantime.
Bok Gwi Joo takes Bok Yi Na to the zoo as a way of making up for the promise he failed to keep on her birthday seven years prior, but Bok Yi Na is not able to enjoy the visit because she is aware of her father’s approaching death. Bok Gwi Joo gives her a reassuring hug when she finally starts crying, but his face is also marked with sadness.
“Do Da Hae discovers a secret hidden in [Bok Man Heum’s] prophetic dream and gives the Bok family a final glimmer of hope,” the drama’s production team hinted. Will Bok Gwi Joo be able to save Do Da Hae and alter his destiny, and what decision will Do Da Hae make to save Bok Gwi Joo? Stay tuned to find out, please.
