The newest group to emerge from YG Entertainment is called Babymonster. On April 1, they made their stage debut with “SHEESH,” officially beginning their career as idols.
Babymonster set themselves apart from other groups by relating their teen hip-hop concept to their names, “Baby” and “Monster.” They also don’t adhere to the standard member dynamics, which sets them apart from most groups.
To be more precise, none of them was named the group’s leader. They verified this fact in their first-ever showcase. Rather than having a single person take command of everything and hold everyone accountable, different members handle distinct responsibilities.
For example, Ruka, the eldest member, is in charge of dancing practices.
Choreographer Lee Jung gave her high marks for her proficiency in this area.
Ahyeon and Rami are in charge of vocal training in the meantime. As evidenced by their reality program, these two are regarded as some of the group’s best vocalists. The Final Assessment.
Babymonster is not the first member of YG Entertainment to decline a position of authority. Similar to their forebears, BLACKPINK lacks a leader.
However, in YG Entertainment’s past, groups like WINNER (YOON), 2NE1 (CL), and BIGBANG (G-Dragon) have all had leaders. Hyunsuk and Jihoon are even the two leaders of Treasure.
