Sparkling, a fictional boy band, reunited for the first time in ages!
Members of ATEEZ Yunho, Seonghwa, and San appeared with Boys Republic’s Suwoong in the KBS drama “Imitation” three years prior. They were cast as members of a fictional boy group called Sparkling. (ATEEZ’s Jongho made an additional appearance in the drama as SHAX, a rival boy group.)
Despite not being a legitimate boy band, Sparkling made a memorable cameo on the well-known music talk show “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” and their “debut” record “DIAMOND” even peaked at the top of Hanteo’s daily album chart.
At Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium on January 27, ATEEZ hosted their sold-out “TOWARDS THE LIGHT: WILL TO POWER” concert. Yunho, Seonghwa, and San’s former “bandmate,” Suwoong, attended to lend his support.
Following the performance, Suwoong posted a number of concert images to Instagram, including two adorable backstage shots he took with his fellow Sparkling members and their actual bandmate Wooyoung.
“The Sparkling members, whom I was so happy to see again for the first time in a long while!” wrote Suwoong with affection. ATEEZ is the greatest, hands down.
