A preview of the first script reading for the upcoming JTBC drama “The Tale of Lady Ok” has been released!
The story of Ok Tae Young (Lim Ji Yeon), who poses as her name, status, and even her spouse, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), who puts everything on the line to keep her safe, is told in “The Tale of Lady Ok.”
Director Jin Hyuk and writer Park Ji Sook were accompanied at the script reading by Yeonwoo, Kim Jae Won, Lim Ji Yeon, and other members of the lead cast.
Lim Ji Yeon plays Ok Tae Young, the most talented con artist in Joseon, who had a complicated and dangerous life as fugitive slave Goo Deok Yi before adopting her new persona. Her captivating portrayal vividly captures the opposing qualities of the shrewd and fearless Ok Tae Young and the industrious servant Goo Deok Yi.
The romantic Cheon Seung Hwi, a free-spirited entertainer who traverses the nation telling stories, is portrayed by Choo Young Woo. His sincere delivery of the screenplay encapsulates the persistent passion and tenderness of his character.
The ideal gentleman Sung Do Kyeom, a sought-after young master who is admired by everyone, is portrayed by Kim Jae Won. In addition to his developing romance with Cha Mi Ryeong, which will undoubtedly enthrall viewers, his close-knit relationship with his sister-in-law Ok Tae Young adds a touching aspect to the drama.
Yeonwoo portrays Cha Mi Ryeong, who looks up to Ok Tae Young after learning about her personal life. She has a secret that gives her character a sense of mystery, and her charming manner and erratic charisma make her a beautiful yet captivating presence.
Every actor has a distinct style that they apply to their roles, and they also have great connection with each other. In addition to Lee Jae Won, Kim Jae Hwa, Oh Dae Hwan, and others, the outstanding cast is ready to provide a variety of dynamic and varied performances that will take the drama to new heights.
