Who wouldn’t want to see this when they woke up? Xu Kai posted pictures of himself eating a substantial breakfast at 6:25 a.m. today while sporting a tank top. Some have noted that the dish, crunchy “youtiao” with steaming hot congee, is distinctly Cantonese in the morning. It’s interesting to note that Xu Kai was born in Guangdong Province and, while not very well, speaks Cantonese. But don’t let breakfast fool you—for him, it marks the conclusion of a long night of filming, not the beginning of the day. His powerful frame and long, disheveled hair still makes him appear as gorgeous as ever. The fantasy romance series “Moonlit Reunion,” which is expected to be wrapping up production, has been having night shoots lately, starring the 29-year-old actor.
With his portrayal of Yang Zi’s male lead in “Best Choice Ever,” another Tencent smash, Xu Kai lately amassed a large following. That drama has its pleasures, I mean, here I am writing about his breakfast. That’s what got me started on Xu Kai’s extensive backcatalog of dramas.
I’ve already finished watching “Wonderland of Love,” a historically significant romance that is sadly underappreciated—possibly because it seems less professional than high-end productions. It does, however, have a compelling tale that is based on an original screenplay by well-known author Fei Wo Si Cun. I also watched the esports drama “Falling into Your Smile” since it was entertaining and lighthearted. I may even watch “The Legends” and “Arsenal Military Academy” again because I think they’re two of his best films. Naturally, we must not overlook the origins of it all. Xu Kai, a 23-year-old model by trade, rose to fame in 2018 when he played “Fu Cha Fu Heng” in the film “Story of Yanxi Palace.” To be completely honest, I still adore him most in historical plays, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.
