Given what happened in One Piece Chapter 1111, fans think Lucci will betray them severely in the future.
As a secondary antagonist in One Piece’s ongoing Egghead Arc, Rob Lucci plays a significant role. He travels to the future island with two other CP0 agents, Kaku and Stussy, under orders from the World Government to kill Dr. Vegapunk.
Lucci never wavers in his commitment to the World Government and his obligation to it throughout the storyline. Despite having lost two straight fights against Zoro and Luffy, respectively, he nevertheless contributes by giving the Gorosei information while things are chaotic on the island. But there’s one panel in the most recent One Piece chapter that might be interpreted as Lucci betraying him.
Lucci begs Mars in One Piece Chapter 1111 to spare Kaku’s life, who Zoro beat previously in the story arc. The World Noble declined, stating that Kaku’s existence was similar to a worm’s. Readers speculate that Lucci may later betray the World Government as a result of this one encounter.
Supporters claim that this discussion can help Lucci realize how little the group values the life of him and his allies. Furthermore, Kaku’s death as a result of Mars’ attack might be the tipping point for Lucci’s persona. If that occurs, he might later turn into a potential ally of Luffy and his group in their fight against the World Government.
There are two ways this could occur: either Lucci joins the Revolutionary Army and fights alongside the World Government, or he turns into a pirate and goes up against the people he used to work for. But it appears that his allegiance to the World Nobles is finished, whichever route he chooses.
Due to the passing of Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball, One Piece is presently on hiatus. April 21, 2024 is the release date of the upcoming chapter.
