Wayne Woodrow Hayes, the famous head coach of Ohio State, is the most revered of all time. From 1951 until 1978, under Woody’s leadership, the Buckeyes won 276 games, including five national titles. Coach Hayes was well-known for his flamboyant demeanor and for elevating the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry to unprecedented heights.
