Despite not keeping up with the current game, Jennifer Hale, one of the most well-known voices in gaming, lists her position in the Overwatch franchise as only one of many that she “loves.”
Those who are passionate about the video game industry frequently cite Jennifer Hale as one of the most productive actors in the field when discussing the elite of voice acting for video games.
Hale has amassed about 500 acting credits, a large number of them from voice acting parts in video games and anime. She is now well-known.
Ashe from the Overwatch series is one of the many roles for which she is well-known. Since his debut in 2018, Ashe has established himself as a mainstay in the Overwatch lineup and is still a Damage hero that many players utilize before starting a battle in Overwatch 2.
Jennifer Hale was interviewed by Dexerto at Supanova Melbourne. During the conversation, she discussed her experience working on the Overwatch franchise and her role as Ashe.
Hale acknowledged right away that she adores her character in the Overwatch universe, Ashe. “I adore Ashe, and it’s a blast.” Playing Ashe feels really liberating,” Hale exclaimed with all the excitement one could hope for.
The Overwatch voice actress later acknowledged, though, that despite her passion of portraying Ashe, she is out of touch with the game’s current status. She explains that because the game is free to play, she just joins in when it’s necessary to record lines before hopping on to the next one.
In light of this, Hale was quite silent about what she could and could not say regarding the potential PvE content of Overwatch 2 and Ashe’s overall future.
“I’m not sure. I don’t talk about what has been recorded since I only know what has been captured and I don’t know what has been made public.
Hale again played it close to the vest when asked if she planned to return to the recording studio to record more voice lines for Ashe. “I’m not allowed to say, so I can’t say.”
She didn’t hesitate to respond when asked which other Overwatch character she would most like to voice if given the opportunity. Hale said, “My first thought was B.O.B.” Maybe in the future, we’ll see a skin collection with the endearing Omnic buddy voicing his opinions.
