Gamers of Modern Warfare 3 are urging the creators to revive the gunfight competitions from previous Call of Duty titles.
Gunfight tournaments were originally offered to players in Black Ops Cold War. This new game feature allows you to advance through a bracket-style tournament as teams of two battle in round-based matches, earning you XP and exclusive gifts.
Because every player started each round with the same randomly allocated loadout, which alternates every two rounds, the mode proved incredibly popular. It is reasonable to conclude that gunfight competitions were well-liked by players despite the lack of respawns and life regeneration.
Players want the mode to return in Modern Warfare 3, as it did in Modern Warfare 2 before being inexplicably and silently deleted.
Gamers of MW3 want to see the Gunfight Tournament come back.
On the Modern Warfare 3 Reddit page, a gamer suggested on February 23 that the game’s creators reconsider holding shootout tournaments.
The concept was well received by the community, judging by the responses to the post, with many people saying they would like to see the tournament mode come back. “It hurts how much I miss this. I spent so much time on it,” a player reflected.
Some, however, contend that before the tournament mode is released, the game desperately needs stronger Gunfight maps. However, they stated, “They need to have good gunfight maps first.” “These last ones were terrible.”
Conversely, several said that if the devs introduced a Ranked Gunfight option, they would “never leave the game.”
Gunfight Tournaments returned for players of Modern Warfare 2, and because Season 3 was launched in April 2023, it appears that MW3 will soon be available. We’ll simply have to wait and see, though.
