“Tempest” is a forthcoming Disney+ original series starring Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong The debut of “Tempest” is scheduled for 2025. Tempest” will debut in 2025. “Tempest” tells the tale of Moon Ju (Jun Ji Hyun), a diplomat who gained notoriety throughout the world as a former ambassador to the US, as she and San Ho (Kang Dong Won), a special agent of an unidentified country, search for the truth concealed behind a complex case.
The character of Moon Ju, who has won the international community’s respect for her astute decisions and deeds, will be portrayed by Jun Ji Hyun. She learns that an assassination incident is the result of a political plot between North and South Korea.
The intriguing character San Ho, a former elite international mercenary whose ethnicity and background are all concealed behind a curtain, will be portrayed by Kang Dong Won. Not only is this Kang Dong Won’s debut drama in two decades, following “Magic” in 2004, but he’ll also be producing it.
Oh Jung Se will be appearing in the drama alongside Jun Ji Hyun and Kang Dong Won, it was previously confirmed.
Screenwriter Jung Seo Kyung and director Kim Hee Won, who collaborated on “Little Women,” are the creators of the upcoming drama. In addition, Jung Seo Kyung has contributed to successful projects like “The Handmaiden,” “Mother,” and “Decision to Leave.” On the other hand, Kim Hee Won has overseen projects like “The Crowned Clown,” “Crash Landing on You,” “Vincenzo,” and more.
